Fellow ticket brokers and marketing professionals…I have some good news and I have some bad news. The good news is that both NFL and College football tickets are red hot landing 6 of the 10 spots in this weeks list. The bad news is that One Direction regained the #1 ranking. While some may call this good (or even indifferent news), we are sick of talking about 1D. We are looking for some fresh material…some fresh new talent. Apparently it wasn’t to be.
Other highlights of this weeks list include a resurgent Justin Bieber, the 2012 Austin City Limits Musical and Arts Festival, and the 2012 MLB playoffs. The lone representative of MLB is the Cincinnati Reds. Dusty Baker has his squad looking strong and will playing the decisive game 5 tonight against the SF Giants.
After only 1, Lady Gaga is complete gone from our top 10 searches. One Direction slide right back into the #1 slot. We might have to wait until 2014 to be rid of this boy band invasion!
2. TCU Football
TCU sits at 4-1 in their first season of Big 12 action. Fans are eager to land tickets to their remaining home games with a chance to land a BCS Bowl game.
UCLA coming it at #3 is a bit of an anomaly. Although the Bruins looked tough in games against Nebraska and Oregon State- their blowout loss to Cal is inexplicable.
The MLB playoff have mostly been a snooze but the Reds and Giants are locked to a tough series. The Deciding Game 5 will take place today!
The 4-1 Baltimore Ravens are looking strong with the emergence of QB Joe Flacco. This could be the final year for several key defensive players so it’s now or never.
Despite losing to Florida. interest in LSU remains strong. Key games against South Carolina and Alabama can get LSU back in the national championship picture.
The Biebs has largely been a disappointment thus far but there was a little spike in interest early this week. My guess is that it was due to his appearance on the X Factor.
The #6 ranked K State Wildcats remain undefeated and look poised to win the Big 12. They will have a HUGE game against WVU on 10/20 with a BCS Bowl Game berth on the line!
The 3-2 defending Super Bowl Champs have under-performed this far but expectations remain high. With upcoming games against the 49ers, Redskins, Cowboys, and Steelers, interest should remain high.
No surprise here as ACL is one of the most anticipated festivals of the year. This years lineup includes: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack White, Florence of the Machine, The Shins, Weezer, Gotye, The Afghan Whigs, Neil Young, The Black Keys, Gotye, and lots more
This top 10 list is compiled from internal search data from Tickifieds.com and organic traffic from search engines. Search terms are ranked by using a combination of both sources of search data.
