Tickifieds Top 10 Weekly Searches – Five in a Row for 1 D

One Direction TourOk, this is getting a bit ridiculous.  How many weeks in a row can One Direction absolutely dominate the search rankings?  Now that Justin Bieber has completely fallen off the map, there are no contenders in sight to knock 1D out of the top spot.  This week marks 5 in a row for the British boy band…is it time for college football yet?

A good sign that football is not too far away is the fact that WVU came in at #6 and the SF 49ers  came in at #8 on the list this week.  Other than those two sporting events, the results this week were dominated by music festival and country music.
1.  One Direction

I’m boycotting 1 Direction this week….

2. KattFest

The 2012 Katt Fest lineup includes Hinder, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Puddle of Mudd, P.O.D., Red, Crossfade, and Drive A….no wonder this event comes in at #2 this week.

3.  Aerosmith

Steven Tyler is back on the road with Aerosmith.  Their concert at Milwaukee Summerfest on July 7th is particularly popular this week.

4.  Sugarland

The Sugarland 2012 In Your Hands Tour is kicking strong despite falling 2 spots from last week.  Sugarland should be a mainstay on the list.

5.  Eric Church

Eric Church keeps the country theme this week going strong.  His  2012 The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour has been a huge success.

6.  West Virginia

Fans in Morgantown are excited about the WVU Football season.  What’s not to like about a top #10 team moving into the Big 12?

7.  Country Throwdown

With a lineup that includes Gary Allan, Rodney Atkins, Justin Moore, Josh Thompson, Eric Paslay, and Sunny Sweeney it no wonder Country Throwdown it generating quite a bit of interest.

8. San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers almost made it to the Super Bowl last year.  Fans are assuming they will take the next step forward and are securing their seats early to stave off inflated tickets prices.

9. Bunbury Music Festival

Festival season is certain upon us with the 2012 Bunbury Fest taking place on July 13th – July 15th.  The 2012 Lineup includes Weezer, Death Cab for Cutie, Jane’s Addiction, Airborne Toxic Event, Minus the Bear, OAR, and many more!

10. Country Thunder

Country music continues to shine this week with another music festival.  The 2012 lineup includes Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Luke Bryan, Big & Rich, Steve Holy, Easton Corbin, Hunter Hayes, Wade Bowen, and many more!

2012 Justin Bieber TicketsThanks to some much needed rest and relaxation over memorial day weekend we got a little behind keeping you all informed about the hottest events in the event ticket industry.  So we won’t waste your time talking about how One Direction has once again dominated the Tickifieds list of most search terms.  Or how this week we welcomed a new challenger (aka Justin Bieber) who could possibly unseat 1D as the  hottest ticket on Tickifieds.com.   We’ll just get to the list and let you make you own conclusions…

Top 10 Tickifieds Ticket Searches

1.  One Direction

The British boy band wonders show no signs of slowing down.  With school about to break for summer expect the tweeners to be busy trying to pry credit cards from their parents hands.

2. Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber recently announced his 2012-2013 “Believe Tour” and pre-sale tickets went on sale last weekend.  Tickets to the tour officially go on sale on Friday and Saturday and we suspect that the “Biebs” will supplant 1D as the hottest ticket.

3. Katt Fest

Oklahoma City’s Katt Fest came out of nowhere to come in at #3 this week.   With an impressive lineup that includes Hinder, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Puddle of Mudd, POD, Red, Crossfade and Drive A it’s not that much of a surprise.

4.  Los Angeles Kings

No that the Lakers and Clippers have been eliminated, sports fans in Los Angeles are finally catching on to the LA Kings.

5.  Brazil Soccer

Soccer seems to really be catching on in the US and fans are excited to see one of the best clubs in the world play live in person.  Brazil will face Argentina in New Jersey on 6/9, the USA on 5/30 in Washington DC, and Mexico in Dallas on 6/3.

6.  CMA Music Festival

Nashville will be the Mecca of country music this June as Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Glen Campbell, Hunter Hayes, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, The Mavericks, Scotty McCreery, Brad Paisley, Kenny Rogers, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, and so many others will be playing the 2012 CMA Festival.

7.  Ringling Brothers Circus

The kids are about to be out of school for the summer and what better way to spend family time than at the Circus.

8.  American Idol Tour

Season 11 of American Idol may be over but fans are still eager to see their favorite contestants live in concert.  The tour will feature the Top 10 including Colton Dixon, DeAndre Brackensick, Elise Testone, Erika Van Pelt, Heejun Han, Hollie Cavanagh, Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Skylar Laine.

9.  Carrie Underwood

The reigning queen of country music recently announced her 2012-2013 Blown Away Tour and ticket demand has been strong and steady.  Tickets officially went on sale last week so expect demand to continue to build as the tour goes on.

10. Miami Heat

After being down 1-2 to the Indiana Pacers, Lebron James and Dwayne Wade have seemed to get the ship righted just in time for the Eastern Conference Finals.  Fans in Miami still suck but at least they are filling American Airlines Arena.
