Update 2012 NFC Playoff Bracket

2012 NY Giants PlayoffsThe 2012 NFL regular season has come to a close and the playoff matchups are all finalized.  The NFC side of the playoff bracket came down to the final game of the season as the New York Giants defeated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night footbal.  With the win the NY Football Giants are headed to the playoffs as the NFC East Champions.  As such, the G-Men will be the #4 seed and will host the Atlanta Falcons at MetLife Stadium (formerly known as the New Meadowlands).

At the top of the Bracket both the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints were victorious.  That means the 49ers get the #2 seed and a first round by over the Saints despite the fact they both finished the season with an impressive 13-3 record.  The 49ers win the tie-breaker with a better NFC record (10-2 vs 9-3).  The Saints will play the #6 seeded Detroit Lions at the newly renamed Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans next weekend.
