It has been rumored, but yet to be confirmed that Paul will have a show in Minneapolis, MN on September 1.

Mr. McCartney’s shows in Chicago are kind of a landmark for the city. This will be the first time since 1965 that he performed in a Chicago Stadium, when the Beatles played on a rickety stage set up in front of the center field scoreboard at the White Sox’s Comiskey Park, now Cellular Field. Sir Paul McCartney last played in Chicago in 2005 at the Bulls and Blackhawk’s United Center.

Wrigley Field has recently become a hot spot for fantastic outdoor concerts. In 2005, Jimmy Buffet started the trend. Two years later, The Police performed at the historic ball park. In 2009 Both Elton John/Billy Joel and Rascal Flatts played concerts. Late last summer in 2010, Dave Matthews Band took to the field.

According to the Guinness World Records, Paul McCartney is the most commercially successful songwriter in the history of popular music. The records book also named Sir Paul the “most successful musician and composer in popular music history.” He was a member of The Beatles from 1960-70 and Wings from 1971-81. His talent, business savvy, philanthropy work, and even his most expensive divorce in history are legendary and this man will be known and respected for many more generations to come.
