Hot Events This Weekend (April 27-29, 2012)

It’s been a while since we took a look at the hot event taking place during the upcoming weekend.  If you missed this regular feature, you’re in luck this week.  This weekend’s hottest event is the 2012 SweetLife Festival that will be taking place at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia Maryland on Saturday April 28th.  The 2012 lineup includes some of the biggest names in music including Avicii, Kid Cudi, The Shins, Explosions in the Sky, Fitz and the Tantrums, ASAP Rocky, Fun, and many more.

1. 2012 Sweetlife Festival 4/28/2012 Columbia, MD

Dance and electronic music is getting big as indicated by the Sweetlife Festival coming in at the #1 event this weekend!

2.  Florence and the Machine 4/27/2012 Minneapolis, MN

It’s been a good year to be Flo.  Florence and the Machine continues to sell out shows across the nation with their 2012 tour.

3.  Coldplay 4/27/2012 San Jose, CA

Coldplay was one of the biggest concert announcements of 2012.  While the hype has toned down considerably, interest in seeing Coldplay continues to be strong.

4.  Phil Vassar 4/27/2012 Chicago, IL

Country music these days seems to be dominated by the likes of Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Eric Chursh and the Zac Brown Band.  Phil Vassar is widely known as a songwriter but has quickly developed a following of his own following the release of his 2000 solo album Phil Vassar.

Classic rockers Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are still going strong and sell out show across the country with their 2012 tour.  Their show at Encore Park is no exception as fans are scrambling to secure last minute tickets

2010 MLB Playoff Schedule Set!

The 2010 MLB Playoff teams are all set and ready to begin action on Wednesday 10/6/2010

As the 2010 MLB regular season comes to a conclusion tonight, MLB has release the schedule for the upcoming 2010 playoffs.  In the National League, the Philadelphia Phillies will get the #1 seed and will face the #3 seeded Cincinnati Reds. Since the wildcard winner came out of the NL East, the Atlanta Braves will meet the #2 seeded San Francisco Giants.  In the American League, the top seeded Tampa Bay Rays will square off against the #3 Texas Rangers, while the #2 seeded Minnesota Twins will face the New York Yankees.

The NLDS and ALDS will kickoff on Wednesday October 6th,2010.  Wednesday will feature 3 Division Series games including the Rangers @ Rays, Yankees @ Twins, and Red @ Phillies.  The complete 2010 Playoff Schedule is as follows:
