Pop Icons 1D, Swift, and Bieber Reign Supreme – Tickifieds Top 10

Justin Bieber 2013 Believe TourWith Christmas less than 2 weeks away, it is clear that pop concert tickets are one of the most coveted gifts on this years shopping lists.  This week One Direction remains in the top spot with both Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber gain significant ground.  Both artists have several concerts going on sale in the next few days that have raised the level of interest significantly.   Although, only 1 bowl game was able to crack the top 5 this week (Heart of Dallas Bowl), 6 of the top 10 were college sporting events.

Top 10 Weekly Event Ticket Searches (12/6 – 12/13/2012)

1.  One Direction

The former X-Factor stars are everywhere these days…from Pepsi commercials with Drew Brees to late night TV.  Tickets for One Direction‘s 2013 shows are in huge demand meaning there will be many disappointed tweeners come Christmas morning!

2.  Taylor Swift

Not what you would expect as the highest ranked bowl game this week but Oklahoma State and Purdue are representing well on the ticket front for the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

5.  Louisville Basketball

The 6th ranked Louisville Cardinals has impressed so far this year despite losing earlier in the year to the #2 Duke Blue Devils.  They have big games against Memphis (12/14/2012) and Kentucky (12/29/2012) coming up that are popular at the moment.

6.  BCS Championship

Not surprising…the biggest game in college football once again makes the list.  The 2013 BCS Championship should be a huge seller with tickets selling at record prices.  Both Notre Dame and Alabama have tons of fans willing to travel and shell out big bucks to see history being made.

7.  Rose Bowl

The Rose Bowl is always one of the most popular events every year.  With the Stanford Cardinal set to take on the Wisconsin Badgers you can expect more of the same for this annual New Year’s Day tradition!

8.  Sun Bowl

Another college football game garnering attention this week is the Sun Bowl.  This year’s edition will feature the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets of the ACC vs USC Trojans of the PAC 12.

9.  Fleetwood Mac

The legendary rockers Fleetwood Mac recently announced they will be touring in 2013.  Ticket interest is already high with shows in San Jose, Washington, Boston and Atlanta seemingly on the Christmas list for many.

10.  Cotton Bowl Classic

While they no longer play the game at the actual stadium of the same name, the 2012 Cotton Bowl Classic should be a classic indeed.  The Cotton Bowl will include the Texas A&M Aggies and the Oklahoma Sooners and will be played at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

This top 10 list is compiled from internal search data from Tickifieds.com and organic traffic from search engines.  Search terms are ranked by using a combination of both sources of search data.
