1D, NFL Playoffs and Rodeo Rocking in the New Year – Tickifieds Top 10

Houston-Rodeo-2013Despite the fact that this is one of the slowest times of the year for ticket sales, Tickifieds is pleased to report record levels of traffic over the past 7 days.  Although, traffic is not quite where it was prior to Google’s infamous “Penguin” update, we are getting really really close to being able to call it a full recovery.  Although One Direction is responsible for a good chunk of traffic, we saw some major gains made by other events.  Most notable of the bunch are the rodeo events (the Houston, San Antonio, and Austin Rodeos) and the NFL Playoffs (AFC and NFC Championship Games).

Even more encouraging is the diversity and depth of keywords that are bringing traffic to our event ticket classifieds.  Many events big and small listed at Tickifieds are again appearing on the first page of the search results within minutes or being listed.  So stay tuned as the Tickifieds Top 10 is about to get even more competitve….watch our One Direction!

Top Events Week 2, 2013

1.  One Direction

One Direction has picking up right where we left them in 2012… at #1.  These young blokes  are taking the nation by storm and the

2. AFC Championship Game

Despite the fact the teams involved were just finalized last night, the 2013 AFC Championship Game catapulted all the way to #2 this week.  This years AFC Championship will feature two of the most popular east coast teams – The New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens.

3. Taylor Swift

After several weeks seemingly cemented in at #2, Taylor Swift slipped one spot to #3 this week.  Tay -Tay fans fear not though as the NFL playoff are only temporary.

4. Houston Rodeo

Just when concert ticket sales take a bit of a lull, the Houston Rodeo comes in to save the day.  If you haven’t yet see the lineup, check out the 2013 HLSR Lineup.

5.  Brrrrr! Winter Music Festival

We told you electronic/techno music was going to be big in 2013.  The 2013 Brrrrr! Winter Music Festival will include oby, Miss Kittin, Magda, Deniz Koyu, Deniz Kurtel, Chus & Ceballos, Dubfire and Justin Martin.

6.  Big 12 Basketball Tournament

The 2013 Big 12 Basketball Tournmanet holds firm at #6 this week.  With more of the unbeaten teams falling this week, excitement about Kansas Jayhawks basketball is building.

7.  The Black Keys

The uber popular rockers The Black Keys recently announced 4 tour dates this coming April-May in Atlanta, Nashville, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh.  Joining TBK will be the Flaming Lips.  If more dates are announced this could be one of the biggest tours of 2013!

8.  San Antonio Rodeo

Rodeo season is not all about Houston.  The San Antonio Rodeo has a pretty stellar lineup of some of the biggest names in country music lined up themselves.  The list includes Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Thomson Sqaure, Reba, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker and Jerrod Niemann.

9.  Lady Gaga

After weeks and weeks of no Lady Gaga, the queen of weird returns to the top 10 this week.  Miss Gaga is in the middle of her 2013 Born This Way Ball Tour and popular upcoming shows in Portland, San Jose, L.A., Phoenix, and Las Vegas.

10.  NFC Championship Game

The Atlanta Falcons are no New England Patriots when it comes to a ravenous fan base (pun intended).  However, interest is still high for the 2013 NFC Championship Game which will feature the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers.
