Jingle Ball and Taylor Swift Gain on 1D – Tickifieds Top 10

2012 Jingle Ball

With lineups of the various Jingle Balls and Jingle Jams slowly being revealed, it’s no wonder the Jingle shows are trending.

This edition of our top 10 events on is much the same as previous weeks.  One Direction is still king with both Taylor Swift and Disney on Ice trailing considerably. However,  a new challenger has emerged, the Jingle Ball and Jingle Jam events.  If your haven’t started promoting these “Jingle shows” now is the time to start!

Perhaps most noticeable, is the lack of football from the chart this week.  While we still get considerable traffic for both NFL and college football, only 1 NCAA football team made the list this week – the Clemson Tigers.  Several NFL teams essentially tied for 10th place but that is a far cry from previous weeks which were dominated by football.  This isn’t necessarily a reflection of the relative demand for football tickets but likely a statement about the virality(yes we did make up that word) of concert tickets.  Demand for football tickets is rather constant with the notable exception of when playoff and bowl game matchups are announced.

So let’s take a peak at what events are currently trending at Tickifieds…

Top 10 Weekly Event Ticket Searches (11/6 – 11/14/2012)

In case you needed any further proof check out Tickifieds list of most popular events.

Can Jason Aldean supplant 1 Direction as the most search for concert?

In the horse race we like to call the Tickifieds Top 10 Weekly Searches, One Direction is still way out in front.  However, country music stars Jason Aldean (#2)  and Taylor Swift (#4) are surging with new albums outs and tour dates about to go on sale.  While 1 Direction still has a comfortable lead, we expect demand for Jason Aldean and Taylor Swift tickets to increase as tickets go on sale and quickly sell out.

Top Weekend Events Septemeber 23 – 25

Hooray Wednesday!

I’m going to go ahead and call it that the summer concert season is officially dead.  In its place, officially, is College Football!

There are certainly some exciting games this weekend!  The top game everyone seems to want to attend is the West Virginia vs. Louisiana State game.  These two teams are competitively matched.  LSU has an absolute top notch defense, but the Mountaineer’s quarterback, Geno Smith, is a formidable opponent.

The Fight Irish vs. Panthers game is surely another tough call on who would win.  Pitt’s offense and defense have a good balance, but is it enough to show up Notre Dame?

Colorado is expected to sweep Ohio State, particularly with their star QB, Tyler Hansen, and RB Rodney Stewart.

Boise State is certainly another team to keep a keen eye on.  Since the Broncos near slaughter of the Georgia Bulldogs at the start of the season, they’re on a fast track in the national title race.   QB, Kellen Moore, is one of the best and most effectual quarterbacks currently playing in the NCAA and is expected to shatter multiple records, including most touchdowns and most wins.

For your non-football related activities this week, the hot one is definitely the 3-day i Heart Radio Festival in Las Vegas.  The festival will feature top acts like LADY GAGA ,  JAY-Z , COLDPLAY , STEVEN TYLER, THE BLACK EYED PEAS,  KENNY CHESNEY, ALICIA KEY,  JENNIFER LOPEZ, CARRIE UNDERWOOD, JANE’S ADDICTION, NICKI MINAJ , DAVID GUETTA, RASCAL FLATTS, BRUNO MARS, KELLY CLARKSON, SUBLIME WITH ROME With special guest performances by USHER, STING and JEFF BECK.  It is one FULL line-up!!

Jeff Dunham is in the same field as Terry Fator.  They are both master ventriloquistsTime Magazine wrote about his puppet characters, “All of them are politically incorrect, gratuitously insulting and ill tempered.”
